Most organisations in the UK struggle to find workers with the right skills and, as a result, spend extra on salaries, recruitment, early stage training, and temporary staffing.
The skills gap is costing UK employers £6.3 billion yearly.
We believe this is an opportunity to connect education with industry and bring students and teachers together with industry professionals around exciting challenges that link the curriculum with real world skills and careers.
Intro 2 [Industry] is a series of industry specific physical and virtual bootcamps through which companies can engage with secondary schools, connect with students, and inspire career choices.
Each bootcamp is built around an industry-relevant challenge, where students meet the professionals and work in teams to build skills, solve problems, and create technology.
Sponsorship starts with a conversation about your work and exciting projects within your sector, with a focus on skill needs and your local communities
We convert this knowledge into educational projects that involve making trade-offs, designing and creating things, and solving problems.
We organise all the logistics of coordinating and managing venues, stakeholders, and equipment. Schools come for free and you will be invited to mentor, inspire, and connect with students.
To increase the scale and long-term impact of sponsorship, projects are mapped to relevant STEAM subjects and delivered to teachers via 3DUCATE.
Join our growing network of partners and help the young people in your local communities build relevant skills and pursue careers in your industry.
Intro 2 [Industry] can be a perfect addition to your education outreach programme or it can be the start of it!
Sponsorship covers the cost of logistics, equipment, consumables, marketing, and developing industry-specific projects.
Share your knowledge and industry expertise by contributing to projects, ensuring that students learn skills and knowledge relevant to the real world.

Promote apprenticeship and graduate opportunities to secondary and university students
Raise awareness of your brand as a leader in collaborating with and supporting local communities
Fulfil your committed obligations and make a positive impact in your local communities.
Regardless of industry and project, the underlying structure is the same
The challenge gives the industry context in a relevant way and sets the goal for the bootcamp. Whether it’s designing and programming the best autonomous vehicle, or creating an app to manage the customer experience in a train station, the challenge will engage students and introduce them to the real world.
Each project is carefully developed to provide students with a holistic learning experience that spans designing (CAD) and programming (Python, C++, physical computing), as well as curriculum knowledge from STEAM subjects.
As in the real world, projects are team-based and require effective collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and time management for successful completion. Bootcamps culminate with a pitch contest.
A range of industry professionals volunteer to mentor student teams and to give brief talks about their career journeys and the future of the sector.
Bootcamps are delivered and facilitated by our expert team and with support from our growing network of university students interested in the sector.
